Honestly, Imamoglu and the CHP have always been tools of Western influence anyway, so it's no surprise they're getting attention from the EU now. The so-called "crackdown" is just the government protecting Turkey from those who want to undermine its Islamic values and national unity. Instead of whining about democracy, maybe the opposition should respect the will of the people and stop acting like puppets for foreign agendas.

This is a blatant attack on democracy and political pluralism in Turkey—jailing opposition leaders just for doing their jobs or criticizing the government is unacceptable. The EU should be standing up for democratic values, not turning a blind eye just because they want Turkey's cooperation on security. It’s heartbreaking to see people fighting for basic rights and getting punished for it; solidarity with the Turkish opposition is more important than ever.

It’s honestly outrageous to see Turkey slide further away from democracy while the EU just looks the other way for the sake of “security.” Jailing political opponents like Imamoglu is a blatant attack on basic democratic rights, and it deserves way more pushback from the international community.

The West should mind its own business—Turkey must defend its unity and sovereignty against those trying to destabilize it from within.
